I am just realizing my so called sedate, quiet life is not as quiet as I thought. I have had a bad cold/flu this week and stayed a home. I am feeling better so don't worry. One would think nothing could happen if I am home minding my own business. Don't believe it. Thursday night around 6PM, someone rang my door bell. I looked out the window and saw this huge man with a cute Whippet on his leash. Well, I was in my nightgown but I quickly put on a robe and opened my driveway gate. The gentleman reminded me we met last summer on a busy street nearby. He said he had walked pass my house several times and never caught up with me until now. He laughed that he met my housekeeper, cement man, gardener, and neighbor. They all said she's not here much. I told him, what did he expect, I have a job.

He has two Whippets and was walking the 5 month old as she is pretty antsy. Big surprise. HA! His other Whippet is 12 years old. Zac and Joy had a lot of fun chasing the young Whippet around our yard. We now have a play date at the local dog park early Sunday morning. I am looking forward to it.
Meanwhile, I was surprised to have so much attention while I was sick this week. My pharmacy offered to bring me medicine and anything else delivered to my house. Since I am nowhere in their delivery area, I was touched by their offer. My nephew came by bringing Tylenol, Jello and soup. He stayed for a couple a hours and installed my Magic Jack. (It works fine if you have a fast connection. You can not tell the phone is not a regular land line.) Another friend offered to come by and bring food. Since he lives one hour north of LA, I told him to stay home.
Thank goodness I rarely get sick but these last few days really brought up my spirits. Who knew? Meanwhile, I have a date with a cute architect for lunch today. No more information.
