I got a new puppy!!

Postby jdechand » Fri Jan 05, 2007 11:50 am

Hi everyone! I've been lurking around the board for a while. I just got a new whippet puppy a week and a day ago, she's 9 weeks old and her name is Margot--- and she's absolutly crazy! The transition to her new home was great actually, she just came right in and claimed our house as her own. We're working on potty traning, etc. I think she knows her name.. but I'm not so sure! :)
We tried to put her in the crate at night but she had none of that! She sleep on our feet at night and while my husband was wary of that situation at first, now he'd have it no other way.

She is very cute. Forrest didn't like his crate when we first got him too but we moved it into our bedroom (right next to the bed) for the first couple of weeks. Then we moved it right outside the room for a couple of weeks and then lastly to the kitchen area. He hasn't cried since about going to bed. Only when he has to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night but that is starting to stop also.

Congratulations!
