An update on the Leba, been using it twice a day for abut a month and it actually works! It doesn't quite clean up those top molars at the very back up under the cheeks, but all the rest are clean and free of plaque which I used to chip off every 6 months, along with vet cleanings about every 1-1/2 years.

This is really amazing, I'm now cutting back to one application a day for them. It isn't that expensive as it seems as it only requires a small amount sprayed into their mouth each day, about 1/2 hour before or after they eat or drink.

OK, I take it back, I guess I was anticipating more results then I'm getting, both of them are getting plaque again, expecially on the back upper molars, so it seems that the Leba isn't able to stop it.

Well, I was just considering making the big purchase of Leba, based on your report. Now you've changed your praise of Leba, so I'm right back where I started. Devo is 16 and had his teeth professionally cleaned for the last time in April '05. It dang near killed him. He had to have 2 teeth pulled, so they cleaned the teeth at the same time. It took 4 days for him to pull out of the stooper. We even had to take him in for IVs because he couldn't snap out of it enough to drink nor eat.
Putting him under again is out of the question at 16 yrs. old. My cleaning isn't doing enough and I'm very worried that he has another tooth going bad.

Could acupuncture anaesthetic/sedation be used for dental work?

Good question! I dunno where to get acupuncture for humans, let alone doggies. I'll try asking my vet.
